Our Pledge: Solutions. Not Gimmicks.
A faith-first, family and veteran owned contractor, built on honesty, integrity, and quality.
Our Story
First Water Contracting was built after hours, on parking lots in Oklahoma City, by two men who believed work done the right way would speak for itself.
For years First Water was a nights-and-weekends operation, sealcoating and patching commercial lots while our founders led heavy-civil construction for one of the state's largest contractors. When they finally went all in, they made a deliberate decision not to recruit a single person from their former employer.
On the first Monday morning, roughly thirty crewmen showed up anyway. They were not following a contract or a paycheck. They were following a way of doing business. Most of them are still on our crews today.
“Fifteen hundred bucks apiece to buy insurance. It broke both of us.”

Our History
2013
The Side Hustle

By day, our founders ran heavy-civil work for one of Oklahoma's largest contractors. Nights and weekends belonged to First Water: sealcoating and patching parking lots across Oklahoma City, sometimes finishing at two in the morning to hit a client's deadline.

All In

They left steady careers and went all in, $1,500 apiece after buying insurance. Roughly thirty crewmen from their former employer followed them almost overnight, unasked and ready to work. Nobody was recruited. They came because of how these two men do business.
Build
Five Trades, One Schedule

Scope by scope, First Water brought the full sitework lifecycle in-house: earthwork, storm sewer, subgrade stabilization, curb and gutter, and paving. Every phase self-performed means every handoff happens inside our own schedule.
Today
Turn-Key, Plus Materials

Today our team is roughly 150 strong, and many of the crewmen from that first Monday are still here. With hot-mix asphalt from our affiliated Trinitas Materials plant, we control quality from the aggregate to the final lift.
The Pledge Itself
Every proposal we send and every crew we dispatch carries the same three commitments. No fine print, no gimmicks.
100% customer satisfaction. That is our goal with every client. We strive to deliver superior service coupled with superior quality.
We endeavor to provide our customers with a final product worthy of their investment. Our materials come from industry-leading plants, and our crews are continually trained on the best technology and methods the industry has to offer.
Superior quality is our cornerstone. It is an asset that cannot be overvalued, and one we intend to build on for generations to come. Our results will exceed your expectations, every time.
To deliver the highest-quality and greatest-value infrastructure solutions to meet the unique and ever-expanding needs of our customers, while providing a safe and rewarding workplace for our employees and their families.
The First Water Values

Faith & Family
Faith first, in word and practice
We are a faith-first and faith-driven family of companies. Honesty, integrity, and quality are the pillars of our corporate foundation, and we run the business the same way on a Tuesday afternoon as we do on Sunday morning. First Water is family and veteran owned, and the families behind our crews are the reason the work matters.

Honesty & Integrity
Doing it the right way
First Water grew in a market where cutting corners is common, and we grew by refusing to. Honest numbers, honest schedules, and materials that are exactly what the spec says they are. Our founders built the company's reputation one kept promise at a time, and we protect it the same way.

Quality
Of the first water
Our name comes from an old jeweler's phrase: a gem of the first water is of the highest quality there is. That is the standard we accept on every scope, from the compaction you will never see to the surface you drive on every day.

Our People
A safe, rewarding place to build a career
Thirty crewmen showed up on day one because of how our founders treat people, and that has not changed. We pledge our employees a safe workplace, steady work, and a company worth staying with, because the people running the equipment are the reason the work holds up.
